Student Nurses Association (SNA)
Student Nurses Association, a nation wide organisation of nursing students formed to facilitate their all round development and to bring out competent nurses. The SNA unit of the college is one single platform for the students to develop their organising abilities, leadership skills and above all to display their talents in arts, sports and educational events by organising unit, Zonal and state level competitions for the young student nurses.
The college celebrates its annual college day every year with great enthusiasm and extravaganza. It is a day with the staff and the students enjoy and have fun with splendid display of their creative abilities.
The college also celebrates special days like World Health Day, Nurses Day, AIDS day, Republic Day, Independence day, Onam and Christmas etc. by organising various events life awareness programmes, cultural evenings, exhibitions etc. We also conduct workshops, conferences, paper presentations, journal club etc. for the students as well as staff.
National Service Scheme (N.S.S.)
1.NSS unit of M O S C College of Nursing organized an essay writing competition for NSS volunteers.
2.A manuscript magazine in the name of “mayilpeeli” was released along with N.S.S day celebration.
3.Alzheimer’s day observation
N.S.S. unit of M.O.S.C. College of Nursing observed Alzheimer’s day on 21- 9-2011 by pasting posters on streets and college campus.
4.AIDS day observation
The NSS unit organised AIDS awareness rally in Vadavucode. The volunteers also distributed leaflets about prevention and management of AIDS.
NSS unit of M.O.S.C College of Nursing conducted an orphanage visit and free distribution of study materials in morning star children home, Vadavucode. The unit also arranged a Christmas celebration on 10- 12- 2011 along with adolescent educational programme in the children home.
6.Health educational programme
The NSS unit of M.O.S.C. College of Nursing organised many health educational programmes in Vadavucode. It mainly focused on life style changes and impacts on health.
